Handmade in Nepal the Iona Cardigan in Burgundy is perfect for wearing during any season, featuring a classic fair isle pattern mixed with rich colours it has been made with 1 PLY wool that has the benefits of keeping you snug and insulted, it is also super lightweight and easy to wear and is perfect for layering.

Made by a Fair Trade approved supplier, where workers are paid above the nation average and treated equally and with respect, regardless of gender, race or religion. Employment is also freely chosen with no forced, bonded or child labour. They have also developed the use of natural materials and dyes to ensure impact on both local and wider environment is kept to a minimum. Pachamama is a member of the Fair Trade BAFTAS.

Pachamama supports the international charity Net4Kids working in Nepal to give underprivileged children a better future through sustainable help. They also donate to Right4Children, whose mission is to provide children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with better life prospects through sponsorship and self-help.

They produce a wide range of knitwear from very simple classic designs to complex patterns from expert knitters. All products are made with patience, love and care with practicality and warmth in mind. The business ethos is to respect suppliers and the environment. All people involved in the production process work in excellent conditions and receive pay above the local standards as well as receiving benefits. All products are handmade and fair trade providing much needed employment.
